During the month of March, In Balance will be offering family massage. 
Enjoy 40 minutes for $40 on the hydromassage table. Affordable. Convenient. Comfortable. Effective. With the hydromassage touchscreen, controlling the pressure, the speed and the location of your next massage is at your fingertips. We will provide stretching straps, foam rollers, yoga mats and bottled water for you and your family to enjoy.

Appointments will be available Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 3pm-8pm and Saturdays from 9am-1pm.

This year the 2015 Canadian Birkebeiner will be taking place on Valentine’s Day, and has partnered with the Heart & Stroke Foundation during February, Heart Month. 

This year one of our Active Athletes at
In Balance will compete for her 7th time in the 55 KM TORSKEKLUBBEN BIRKEBEINER WITH PACK leg of the competition. This is what she had to say: 

"Cross country skiing is one of the best cardiovascular exercises that provides a full body workout.  The skier's legs, buttocks, core, back and arms are all needed to perfect a fluid diagonal stride.  Like swimming, it is a low impact sport and very easy on the joints. Many people, like myself, take up Nordic skiing when our joints no longer appreciate the higher impact required for team sports or long distance running.  Besides the heart-healthy benefits of cross country skiing, it is a fantastic sport that allows Canadians to embrace winter.  While most people in the office whine about the cold and snow, Nordic skiers are quietly hoping for temperatures to stay below zero and we like a bit of snow at least once a week.  Shovelling the walk becomes welcome cross training for our skiing habit. The great outdoors is our winter recreation centre open every day!  Cross country skiing provides a great workout, keeps the pounds off during the winter, is inexpensive, and renews a  child-like love of winter!"
