CHIROPRACTICCan Chiropractic help you?
Doctors of chiropractic diagnose, treat and help prevent conditions and disorders related to the back, neck, pelvis and extremity joints. Chiropractic care at In Balance begins with a complete health history followed by a thorough physical examination in order to determine a diagnosis, identify the cause of your pain and identify any biomechanical faults which maybe the underlying cause for the injury. During the course of therapy these findings are used to evaluate your overall recovery. At In Balance we encourage each patient to look beyond their symptoms, and achieve a better state of health by focusing on rebuilding their strength, flexibility, and balance. PLAN OF MANAGEMENTOnce a diagnosis has been provided the doctor will answer any questions you may have. A customized treatment plan will be provided as well as treatment options.
In acute patients treatment is often provided during the initial visit. The doctor will often recommend a plan of management that is both specific to your condition and your needs. In chronic patients the doctor will often review any previous findings (reports, MRI, plain film radiographs) and then recommend an initial consultation prior to providing treatment. The consultation will include a complete history of the condition followed by a thorough physical examination. Treatment is often scheduled after determining an appropriate frequency of care and to ensure maximal response to treatments. TREATMENTChiropractic care at In Balance focuses on function, ensuring that the biomechanical faults as well as the site of injury are addressed. Your treatment may consist of soft tissue therapy, exercise prescription, joint mobilization/manipulation and therapeutic modalities.
Gentle mobilizations or manual manipulation may be used in order to restore normal ranges of motion and flexibility. Soft tissue techniques and therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrotherapy) may be provided to facilitate healing, breakdown scar tissue and to restore optimal function. Once the initial symptoms have resolved, a rehabilitation program may be prescribed to correct muscle imbalances, restore proper biomechanics and to help prevent re-injury. WHAT TO EXPECT
